Our client is seeking a Sr. Reporting Analyst in Dallas, TX.

Role Description

The RMO Intelligence Reporting Analyst Sr. is responsible for leading the analysis, automation, and presentation of strategic and operational data that drives decision-making across the organization. This role combines technical, analytical, and leadership skills to improve operational efficiency, optimize processes, and generate actionable insights. The senior analyst is also expected to serve as a technical reference within the team, promoting best practices and developing scalable solutions.
Accountabilities (include % of time):
Data Collection and Management (25%)
Lead the systematic acquisition, integration, and governance of data from diverse internal systems including SAP, SharePoint, PowerBI, Excel, and SQL databases. Ensure data quality through rigorous validation protocols, maintaining high standards of accuracy, completeness, and traceability across all datasets. Architect and maintain scalable data infrastructure and repositories that support efficient data flows and enable advanced analytics. Design and implement robust data cleaning, normalization, and enrichment pipelines to prepare structured and unstructured data for complex analysis, modeling, and reporting. Collaborate with IT and business teams to align data architecture with organizational goals and ensure compliance with internal data governance policies.
Strategic Analysis and Reporting (25%)
Lead the design and execution of advanced analytical models using statistical, financial, and business intelligence tools to uncover trends, performance gaps, and strategic opportunities. Apply techniques such as variance analysis, forecasting, segmentation, and benchmarking to support data-driven decision-making across operational and executive levels. Develop high-impact executive reports, dynamic dashboards, and compelling data visualizations that translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. Ensure outputs are aligned with business objectives and tailored to the needs of diverse audiences, including senior leadership, finance, operations, and cross-functional teams. Provide strategic recommendations based on findings and actively contribute to the formulation of business strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Development and Maintenance (30%)
Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automated reporting solutions that enhance data accessibility, reduce manual effort, and improve decision-making speed. Lead the development of scalable and maintainable automation workflows using PowerBI, Excel macros, and scripting languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Build dynamic, parameterized dashboards and reporting tools that adapt to evolving business requirements and support real-time analytics. Ensure the reliability and performance of the analytics environment by proactively monitoring system health, optimizing database queries, and troubleshooting technical issues. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to align automation efforts with enterprise architecture standards and ensure seamless integration across platforms.
Collaboration and Communication (20%)
Act as a strategic and technical liaison between the Intelligence team and key stakeholders across business units, including operations, finance, and senior leadership. Proactively engage with managers and decision-makers to understand analytical needs, translate business questions into data-driven solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Participate in cross-functional initiatives, presenting insights and recommendations in strategic forums, steering committees, and executive reviews. Communicate complex findings with clarity and impact, adapting messaging to technical and non-technical audiences. Foster a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement by mentoring junior analysts, sharing best practices, and promoting data literacy across the organization.

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems, or related fields.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or similar roles.
Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas), SQL, and knowledge of Python or R.
Experience in financial analysis, predictive modeling, segmentation, and process automation.
Strong communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical leadership, priority management, and collaborative work in dynamic environments.
Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
Ideal Experience or Certifications
Proven experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
Technical expertise with data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (PowerBI, SSRS, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
Certifications in Microsoft PowerBI or other analytics and reporting tools would be advantageous.
