Sr. ServiceNow Engineer / Developer

We are currently hiring multiple ServiceNow Engineers and Developers to support a federal program with Veterans Affairs. We have several openings spanning platform development, integrations, and ITOM/CMDB and are looking for strong ServiceNow practitioners at various experience levels. If you have hands-on ServiceNow development experience and an interest in federal IT, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Developing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and related modules
• Building and maintaining integrations using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, scripted integrations, and MID Server
• Supporting ServiceNow ITOM capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management
• Maintaining and improving CMDB data models, CI relationships, and data quality aligned to CSDM standards
• Contributing to CI/CD practices, code quality standards, and DevOps processes for the platform
• Collaborating with operations teams and stakeholders to assess requirements and deliver platform enhancements
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
• Supporting Service Catalog development and break/fix resolution for custom applications
• Depending on the role: Python-based microservices, Kafka/Kubernetes integration, Azure Government cloud environments, or platform roadmap and governance leadership

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and configuration experience
• Experience with one or more ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD, SPM, or Service Catalog
• Familiarity with integration patterns REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, or scripted integrations
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to own solutions end-to-end
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Nice to have

• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM, CTA, or similar)
• Experience in a federal IT environment
• Python, Ansible, or scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or event-driven integration patterns
• Active federal security clearance or Public Trust
