Integration Release Manager (IRM) – Role Overview

The Integration Release Manager (IRM) is a cross-functional leader responsible for orchestrating end-to-end integration releases across applications, infrastructure, and network domains. While rooted in release management and SDLC coordination, the role requires a strong working knowledge of network and infrastructure components to successfully plan and execute complex integration events, including large-scale network cutovers.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Release Orchestration
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of integration releases across multiple systems and teams
- Ensure alignment with SDLC processes, release governance, and quality standards
Network & Infrastructure Coordination
- Drive detailed planning and execution of network cutovers, migrations, and environment transitions
- Collaborate with network, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure readiness and minimize downtime
Risk & Dependency Management
- Identify cross-domain dependencies (applications, network, infra)
- Proactively mitigate risks, manage rollback strategies, and ensure business continuity
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the central point of coordination between technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors
- Provide clear, timely communication on release status, risks, and outcomes
Governance & Execution Excellence
- Enforce release governance, change management, and compliance requirements
- Lead go/no-go decisions, war rooms, and post-release reviews
