Our client is seeking a Vendor Contracts Manager in Vienna, VA
Role Description
To develop, manage, negotiate and control ISD vendor contracts, relationships and performance for the efficient delivery of contracted products and services. Evaluate contracts, service level agreements and statements of work to ensure compliance with and ISD standards and policies.
Collaborate with partners to align priorities, determine shared success metrics, identify new opportunities, mitigate issues and add value through insights
Drive partner satisfaction by learning and understanding partner needs, providing responsive service to issues, integrating partners into ISD processes and building relationships with key stakeholders
Ensure mutually agreed-upon service levels exist for all processes and services provided by ISD
Provide vendor portfolio dashboards, scorecards and reports; create review materials for vendor portfolio reviews
Review existing vendor management policies and procedures, and update with industry best practices, as necessary
Develop governance standards to ensure compliance with established service and performance level standards
Manage a competitive RFP process that is standardized with consistent language and evaluation criteria, and incorporated with the SDLC process
Collaborate with Procurement in negotiating contracts to achieve desired financial terms and conditions and ensure vendor provided services support business objectives
Works with Procurement and Human Resources in managing vendors and contracts, purchase orders and statements of work
Negotiate Service Level Agreements with relevant metrics (turn over, candidate productivity, etc.)
Provide input to Annual Financial Plan
Conduct periodic performance review meetings with vendors, and establish vendor improvement plan, as necessary
Provide regular feedback on vendor performance
Manage and facilitate the process for identifying, prioritizing, selecting and optimizing ISD vendors to support the corporate business strategy
Perform other related duties as assigned or appropriate
Leads weekly team standups.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, epics/stories, etc.)
Experience in the financial services industry.
Metrics development and review - Cost Savings - NOTE: Selling ourselves short by not capturing everything to its fullest potential.
Invoice reconciliation and review- Light Touch, as needed
Vendor Management Planning - Primary lift to get this process started.
Schedule BU Vendor Check Ins - As needed
Maintain WIP - Daily task
Maintain Calendar of Renewals - Creation and then weekly task
Identify SLAs and maintain reporting - Primary lift to get this process started.
Remediation Activities - Email Follow Ups - As needed
Assisting with documentation for approvals - As needed, building quote review documentation and history
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience in preparing and reviewing RFPs, RFIs, SOWs
Experience in vendor management or procurement
Experience in managing a formalized process of selecting, monitoring and evaluating vendors/vendor contracts
Effective skill translating business goals and objectives into IT capabilities
Experience developing, negotiating, and managing service level agreements
Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
Advanced skill resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
Effective skill making effective presentations to groups of various sizes
Effective relationship building, negotiation and facilitation skills
Working knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), etc
Desired: Working knowledge of products, services, programs, policies and procedures
Desired: Working knowledge of ITIL concepts and/or certification in ITIL
Strong contracts and procurement background: can understand contract terms, pricing negotiations, performance monitoring, compliance, issue resolution, risk management, etc.
Procurement experience with contracts: knows how procurement works, can understand contract terms, pricing negotiations, performance monitoring, compliance, issue resolution, risk management, etc.
Excellent comm skills and experience working with c-level execs (can speak and present to sr leadership)
Contracts experience: familiar with SOWs, NDAs, SLAs, RFPs, etc.
Experience working in ADO (this is where they log their items) and agile
Soft skills: someone with business acumen that understands for the vibes for working with high level execs, analytical and can get things done, self starter (don't need a ton of direction) and can work independently and understand the assignment.
