Job Title: Network Engineer L3 with SD-WAN (Viptela)

Job Summary

The Network Engineer L3 will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise WAN, LAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN infrastructure environments. This role focuses heavily on Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), enterprise network modernization, and operational support for large-scale network environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in routing, switching, wireless networking, and network operations while driving reliability, scalability, and security improvements across enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise WAN, LAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN infrastructure
• Lead Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) modernization and deployment initiatives
• Translate business requirements into scalable network designs and implementation plans
• Create migration strategies, operational readiness plans, and technical documentation
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies
• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure for performance and redundancy
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
• Support carrier WAN circuits, MPLS, internet connectivity, and SD-WAN overlays
• Implement VLANs, QoS, EtherChannel, STP/RSTP/MSTP, and switch stacking technologies
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and network standards
• Handle major incidents, escalations, and root cause analysis for network issues
• Prepare and review Record of Change (RoC) documentation
• Manage ServiceNow change requests with implementation and rollback plans
• Develop runbooks, configuration templates, and as-built network documentation
• Store operational and technical documentation in SharePoint repositories
• Support operational handoff and infrastructure readiness activities
• Participate in audits, disaster recovery planning, and risk mitigation initiatives
• Recommend improvements based on emerging networking technologies

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of enterprise networking experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela)
• Experience with WAN architecture, MPLS, carrier circuits, and internet connectivity
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, EtherChannel, STP/RSTP/MSTP, and switch stacking
• Advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN, Cisco ISE, Aruba WLAN, and Aruba ClearPass
• Familiarity with NAC (Network Access Control) solutions
• Experience with ServiceNow change management and SharePoint documentation
• Strong incident management and escalation handling experience
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
• Ability to lead enterprise-scale transformation projects independently

Required Certifications

• Cisco CCNP Certification (Mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCIE Certification
• Experience leading large-scale network transformation initiatives
• Strong background in both network design and operational support
