Summary

Banner Finance Consultant

Remote

Seeking a Banner Finance Consultant to support advanced operations of its Banner Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) Finance system. The resource will work in the Office of Business & Finance supporting all aspects of Finance as it related to Banner with primarily focus on Finance, HR / Payroll, Student AR and Student and Financial Aid modules. Additionally:

Provide support for process improvement initiatives and system revitalizations
Support services for custom reports
Provide Banner specific training to staff
Identify and help implement process improvements
Other Banner support work as needed across university
Provide data access processes that will enable team to focus on analysis
Revise and organize the Chart of Accounts (COA).
Streamline cash account reconciliation processes.
Implement best practices for managing finance and fixed assets.
Other duties as assigned
Support Finance team with audit preparation.
Work with team to provide reporting & data analysis as needed.
Ensure all financial records are accurate and compliant with GAAP.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Mandatory Resume Requirements

Explicit 5+ years of Banner Finance experience (state the years and modules)
Hands-on work with the listed Banner modules (Finance primary; HR/Payroll, Student AR, Student, Financial Aid)
Similar assignments in higher education or public-sector environments
Functional depth in the exact areas above (process improvement, system revitalization, COA work, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, custom reports, staff training, audit support, data analysis, GAAP compliance)
Specific responsibilities, client/institution names, dates, and outcomes where possible
