Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity. This position involves supporting senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for primary containers such as vials, stoppers, syringes, and medical devices. The role will employ basic science and engineering skills to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution.
Responsibilities: - Assist engineers with designing studies and drafting protocols
- Compile historical data from different analytical systems
- Analyze data and present results
- Write summary reports
- Execute protocols, including lab testing using equipment such as vacuum decay leak testers, Instron force testers, and microscopes
- Employ basic science and engineering skills to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation
- Assist with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessments
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Bioscience or Engineering is preferred
- Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience or a High School diploma/GED with 6 years of experience will be considered
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent oral and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work onsite in Thousand Oaks, CA, three times a week
- Flexibility to work overtime during the week when necessary
Desired skills: - Previous lab experience in Engineering or Biochemistry labs
- Experience in the analysis of data generated from a variety of analytical techniques
Pay range: up to $36.25 per hour
