Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer with deep expertise in F5 BIG-IP DNS (GTM), BIG-IQ, NGINX Plus, Azure Networking, and Infrastructure Automation. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise load balancing, DNS infrastructure, automation, and application delivery initiatives across a highly available multi-site environment.
The consultant will be responsible for provisioning new F5 BIG-IP DNS nodes, performing software upgrades, validating Wide IP and DNS configurations, integrating with an Arista-based BGP Anycast architecture, and maintaining enterprise-scale NGINX Plus deployments in Azure. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation frameworks, and production networking environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead provisioning and configuration of F5 BIG-IP DNS (GTM) standalone nodes.
Perform software upgrades for BIG-IP DNS and BIG-IQ management platforms.
Configure, validate, and troubleshoot Wide IP and enterprise DNS services.
Support enterprise DNS Load Balancing and Global Traffic Management (GTM).
Manage and administer NGINX Plus production environments.
Design and maintain High Availability (HA) NGINX Plus deployments.
Configure custom server farms and optimize application delivery.
Integrate F5 infrastructure with Arista BGP Anycast architecture.
Support Azure networking, including NGINX as a Service (NGINXaaS) and Azure Load Balancers.
Develop, review, and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code automation.
Build and maintain automation using Terraform, Ansible, YAML, and Jinja2 templates.
Manage GitHub-based automation workflows and version-controlled infrastructure.
Troubleshoot enterprise network, DNS, load balancing, and automation issues.
Recommend improvements for scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
Independently lead infrastructure provisioning, integration, automation, and operational optimization.
