The Lead Guidewire ClaimCenter Integration Developer is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Guidewire ClaimCenter integrations within a complex enterprise environment. This role provides technical leadership across multiple delivery and maintenance teams, ensures platform stability and performance, and collaborates closely with business, architecture, and delivery stakeholders to support commercial insurance and reinsurance operations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design, development, delivery, and support of Guidewire ClaimCenter integrations and services.
  • Oversee multiple development and maintenance teams, including onshore and offshore resources, across concurrent technical workstreams.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Business Analysis, Product, and Architecture teams to estimate, plan, and deliver initiatives within scope and timelines.
  • Provide technical ownership of ClaimCenter environments, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Design and govern integration solutions with Policy, Billing, Financial, CRM systems, bureaus, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines include automated testing, code quality checks, and secure deployment standards.
  • Establish and enforce branching strategies to support parallel development tracks and release cycles.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, sequence flows, deployment models, and production runbooks.
  • Monitor application performance and availability, diagnose issues across infrastructure, network, and application layers, and drive resolution.
  • Define and enforce engineering standards related to security, logging, monitoring, build, deployment, and integration practices.
  • Support production operations by managing incidents, data fixes, and system enhancements aligned with KPIs.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 7 years of hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter integration and configuration development.
  • Prior experience serving as a Technical Lead delivering at least two end-to-end Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations within commercial insurance.
  • Proven ownership and support of production Guidewire ClaimCenter platforms and associated integration ecosystems.
  • Strong technical leadership experience managing teams of 10 20 engineers across onshore and offshore models.
  • Expert-level experience with Guidewire APIs, data model, product models, and integration frameworks.
  • Hands-on expertise with Java, GOSU, J2EE, XML, Web Services, and relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
  • Experience with application servers such as Apache Tomcat.
  • Strong experience with batch processing, messaging, event-driven integrations, and migration utilities.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, Git, code coverage, scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube), and DevSecOps principles.
  • Guidewire ClaimCenter ACE Certification required.
  • Guidewire Cloud migration experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of P&C insurance, with a preference for commercial insurance domain experience.

  • Financial and resource planning acumen, including budget awareness and delivery forecasting.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
