Job Summary

GD Resources LLC is seeking qualified and experienced imaging professionals to provide diagnostic imaging services at the VA New Jersey Health Care System. We are currently hiring for the following full-time positions:

  • CT Technologist
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist / DEXA Technologist
  • MRI Technologist
  • Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer

Selected candidates will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to Veterans while maintaining excellent patient-care, safety, documentation, and imaging-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations according to established clinical protocols.
  • Operate CT, MRI, X-ray, DEXA, Ultrasound, or other assigned imaging equipment.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Follow appropriate radiation-safety and patient-safety procedures.
  • Monitor patients during examinations and report significant changes to appropriate clinical personnel.
  • Prepare and administer or document contrast agents when required and within the assigned scope of practice.
  • Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
  • Prepare and transmit images through PACS for radiologist interpretation.
  • Document procedures and clinical information in applicable VA systems.
  • Review pending or delayed examinations and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and workspaces according to facility requirements.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Follow HIPAA, VA privacy, infection-control, and environmental safety requirements.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement activities.

Modality-Specific Positions

CT Technologist: Perform diagnostic CT examinations while ensuring excellent image quality, patient care, and radiation safety.

Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist / DEXA Technologist: Perform general radiography and DEXA imaging, including patient positioning, image acquisition, quality control, and documentation.

MRI Technologist: Perform MRI examinations while following all MRI safety, screening, imaging, and quality-control requirements.

Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer: Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations involving organs, structures, and vascular anatomy within the candidate's qualifications and scope of practice.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Experience working in a hospital or large healthcare environment.
  • Relevant certification and credentials for their imaging specialty.
  • ARRT certification for applicable Radiology, CT, MRI, or DEXA positions.
  • ARDMS certification or equivalent credentials for applicable Ultrasound/Sonography positions.
  • Experience with PACS and electronic medical-record systems.
  • Strong knowledge of patient positioning and imaging quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and infection-control procedures.
  • Excellent patient-care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume clinical environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively.

Schedule & Coverage

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Full-Time
  • 30-minute unpaid break
  • Approximately 95% direct patient care and 5% administrative/quality-related activities
  • Occasional pre-approved overtime may be available.
  • Personnel may occasionally be required to work on Federal Holidays based on facility needs.
