SAP FICO Consultant

We are looking for a hands-on SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in General Ledger (GL) and Periodic Accounting. This is a functional role requiring configuration, production support, project delivery, and close collaboration with technical and development teams. The consultant will play a key role in supporting ongoing global SAP S/4HANA finance initiatives, enhancements, and country rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Work primarily in SAP FICO General Ledger (GL) and Periodic Accounting areas
  

• Perform functional configuration based on business requirements
  

• Collaborate with development teams to:
  

  • Prepare functional specifications
    

  • Support technical design and development
    

  • Assist in building solutions and validating deliverables
    

• Conduct end-to-end testing, including integration and user acceptance testing
  

• Provide production support for:
  

  • Month-end and daily financial transactions
    

  • Issue resolution and troubleshooting
    

• Support global template rollout and country implementations
  

• Work on both production support and new project/enhancement releases

• Troubleshoot interfaces, performance issues, and integration challenges
  

• Provide pseudo-code/functional guidance to developers (no coding required)
  

• Support debugging and testing related to S/4HANA and Google Cloud Platform-integrated interfaces

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SAP FICO with focus on General Ledger (GL)

• Good understanding of:
  

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
    

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    

  • Period-end closing processes
    

• Hands-on experience in SAP configuration and functional design

• Strong integration knowledge across SAP S/4 modules, including:
  

  • MM (Material Management)
    

  • SD (Sales & Distribution / Sales Orders)
    

  • Production Orders
    

• Experience in production support + project implementation environments

• Strong troubleshooting skills for:
  

  • Interfaces
    

  • Performance issues
    

  • Financial data flows
    

• Ability to work closely with developers and provide functional & technical guidance

• Experience in global template rollout / multi-country implementations

• Understanding of interface middleware (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) is a plus
  

• Strong analytical, testing, and debugging skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale enterprise SAP programs
  

• Knowledge of S/4HANA Finance architecture

• Exposure to interface troubleshooting and integration architecture

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment
  

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  

Work Model

• Hands-on individual contributor role (not a lead/managerial role)
  

• Hybrid work 4 days per week onsite required

• Mix of production support, enhancements, and project work
