Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Risk and Issues Management Specialist for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for providing risk oversight and advice on risk management issues. The ideal candidate will identify risks to which the business is exposed, implement measures to prevent and mitigate losses, and monitor risk outcomes. This position will also engineer and implement risk remediations, redefine controls, and may serve as a Product Owner for the Enterprise Issues Management system.
Responsibilities: - Provide risk oversight and advice to the Line of Business (LOB) on risk management issues
- Identify risks, implement measures to prevent/mitigate losses, and monitor risk outcomes
- Recognize all risk categories including credit, market, operational and compliance
- Maintain the Enterprise Process for Issues Management and associated Policies, Procedures and Standards
- Engineer and implement risk remediations for payments, including re-defining and sustaining controls
- Work with risk teams to ensure governance routines and reports accurately depict the current state of issues and exams
- Identify control deficiencies and make recommendations for process improvements
- Engage in key initiatives designed to enhance processes and oversee their implementation
- Engage with executive key stakeholders and partners to provide feedback and influence change
- May serve as Product Owner for the Enterprise Issues Management system of record, including communication of the product vision and roadmap
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and prioritize stories in the product backlog
- Conduct execution of risk framework activities including independent monitoring and testing of controls
- Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company
- Manage risk requests, breach remediations and provide risk effective challenges
- Develop risk management analyses, reports, and approval procedures
Requirements: - Experience with data quality and analytics
- Product management experience
- Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Proven verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
Desired skills: - Laws, Rules and Regulations acumen and experience
Pay range: $65.90 - $73.90 per hour
