Job Title: Technician - Integration Engineering (C Shift)

Location: Merritt Island, FL
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: $42/hr. on W2


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineering Technician to support production, assembly, and integration activities for large aerospace structures and flight hardware. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure new production work areas, ensuring appropriate tooling, equipment, and workflow readiness for high-rate manufacturing.
  • Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, lifts) and precision measurement tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, optical systems).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Support the transition of hardware from development to production, including troubleshooting and equipment/fixture maintenance.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe workspaces in alignment with 5S principles.
  • Assist with preparing and testing hardware, including thermal protection system (TPS) application, sealing, bonding, repairs, assembly, and installation activities.


Technical Focus & Responsibilities
  • Apply thermal protection systems (TPS) to large aerospace structures following drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Perform surface preparation, adhesive application, gap filling, fixturing, bonding, and vacuum bagging on composite and metallic components.
  • Follow established manufacturing sequences using materials such as sealants, primers, adhesives, solvents, and consumables.
  • Conduct inspections and second-party verifications to ensure compliance with engineering models, drawings, and process specifications.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, system integration, aircraft depot-level maintenance, or related technical fields.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement and calibration tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Experience working with adhesives, sealants, insulation materials, or thermal protection systems.
  • Competence with digital tools including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification, trade school training, or related degree.
  • Experience with cryogenic, fluid, or propulsion-related systems.
  • Familiarity with large aerospace component handling and precision assembly processes.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with payloads, fairings, capsules, or other aerospace structures.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement certifications.
  • Willingness to work overtime based on program needs.
