Summary

Manual / Test Automation Analyst Quality Assurance

We are seeking a Manual/Test Automation Analyst to provide quality assurance and testing support for a federal mission-critical system using Agile development methodologies.

Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident () status, as well as the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide O&M support for deployed applications, including defect triage, root-cause analysis, regression testing, and validation of fixes prior to release.

Analyze, document, and validate requirements, defects, and enhancements, translating business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios managed in JIRA.

Operate within an Agile/Scrum environment, supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality is built into each iteration.

Facilitate requirements and functional design sessions, developing mockups and prototypes using Axure and Visio to align stakeholders and reduce downstream defects.

Execute manual and automated testing activities to validate functional, integration, and regression requirements and ensure release readiness.

Support stakeholder-driven prioritization and release planning, providing quality, risk, and impact assessments aligned to twelve-week delivery cycles or as directed.

Qualifications and Special Knowledge Requirements

Master s degree and six (6) years of relevant experience, or Bachelor s degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, or other IT degree.

Abilities

Experience performing duties in a business analyst role.

Strong communication skills.

Experience facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions.

Experience with Axure.

Experience developing mockups using Visio.

Experience in quality assurance and application software testing.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Experience with business process re-engineering.

Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to handle multiple and detail-oriented tasks.

Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques.

Strong consultative and advisory skills.

Ability to operate as a self-directed analyst with a sense of urgency.

Ability to rapidly gain subject matter expertise and customer confidence.

Effective interpersonal skills, including engagement with senior leadership.

Experience working in a scrum development environment.

Experience managing requirements in JIRA.
