Description Robert Half is seeking a
Help Desk / IT Support Specialist to support a local government client. This role will support a smaller, high-touch service desk environment, providing hands-on technical support to end users across the organization.
You'll play a key role in ensuring a seamless user experience by troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues, managing tickets, and supporting both hardware and software needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with users and delivering a high level of customer service.
Duration: Contract position (W2 only)
Location: 100% Onsite in Redmond, Washington
Pay rate: up to $30/hourly
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity (including Wi-Fi)
- Support and maintain Windows OS environments
- Perform Active Directory administration, including password resets, account setup, and access management
- Assist with device imaging, deployment, and management using SCCM
- Accurately document tickets, resolutions, and processes within the ticketing system
- Provide white-glove support to ensure a positive end-user experience
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams when needed
Requirements - 2+ years of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory in a hybrid/cloud environment
- Strong experience supporting Windows operating systems
- Experience using SCCM for imaging, deployment, or device management
- Solid understanding of Wi-Fi and basic network troubleshooting
- Experience working in a ticketing system and managing multiple support requests
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune
- Exposure to macOS environments
- Familiarity with modern endpoint management and cloud-based tools

- Ability to provide white-glove service in a professional and approachable manner
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with a wide range of users, from non-technical staff to more technical stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
