Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThis role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support scalable, reliable, and secure business operations. The position involves enhancing platform infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and contributing to the development of robust integrations and data-driven features.
Critical Deliverables- Refactoring Apex code to support increased data volume and improved performance.
- Updating integration logic to accommodate new products, data models, or system requirements.
- Creating unit tests and deployment-ready code aligned with Salesforce development best practices.
- Documenting code changes, architectural decisions, and performance enhancements.
Required Expertise- Advanced experience with Apex programming and Salesforce development.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce APIs, triggers, batch processing, and integration patterns.
- Experience optimizing code for high-volume data operations.
- Familiarity with external system connectivity and API-based integrations.
- Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and scalable solution design.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering & Reliability- Maintain platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability.
- Monitor production systems and address issues proactively.
- Implement tools and processes that support analytics, monitoring, machine learning, and data-warehouse platforms.
- Continuously refine alerting and monitoring systems.
Architecture & Development- Contribute to system architecture discussions, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.
- Develop and maintain public APIs and internal service interfaces.
- Build robust, extensible solutions based on feature requests and business needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop advanced, data-driven features.
- Work with database administrators to design ETL processes and data-warehouse systems.
Infrastructure & Operations- Work with large-scale data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, or Spark.
- Partner with operations teams to automate workflows and enhance service reliability.
- Define and implement strategies for networking, backups, and distributed computing environments.
- Provision, configure, maintain, back up, and monitor on-premises and cloud-based server resources.
- Develop deployment strategies for both client-facing and internal systems.
Qualifications- Experience in software and systems development.
- Strong background in building and maintaining software systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, or Go.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean).
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Experience with automation and configuration tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) and/or orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals.
- Experience administering systems at production scale.
