Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to support strategic financial analysis applications for Freddie Mac. This role is heavily focused on front-end development using React and TypeScript while also contributing to backend development using Java and Spring Boot.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting fixed income, capital markets, or financial services applications and be comfortable working directly with business users, financial analysts, and portfolio management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with financial analysts, portfolio managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Build and enhance applications supporting fixed income and financial analysis functions.
• Participate in application modernization initiatives and performance optimization efforts.
• Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and development best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Full Stack Software Development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience working within Financial Services environments.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income, Capital Markets, Bonds, Mortgage Securities, or Investment products.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Freddie Mac experience.
• Fannie Mae experience.
• Experience supporting portfolio management or financial analysis applications.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and microservices architecture.
• Preference will be given to local U.S. Citizens and candidates with independent work authorization.
