Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Electrical Design Technician for a contract to hire position with an International Engineering Firm located in Phoenix, AZ. This role is focused on the delivery of complex packages in coordination with multi-discipline engineers and design leads. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, the ideal candidate will create 3D model spaces and assist with layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, gas management systems, and security and intrusion detection systems.
Responsibilities: - Deliver complex packages in coordination with multi-disciple engineers and design leads
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers
- Assist designers with layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, Security and Intrusion detection systems
Requirements: - High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 3 years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit experience)
- Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control and CCTV
Desired skills: - 3-5 years of life safety systems design experience
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 72 Fire Alarm, and Signaling Code
- Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturers equipment
- Industrial design experience
- Autodesk Certification Professional ACP or other drafting technologies certifications
Pay range: up to $48.38 per hour
