Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to support a supply chain optimization initiative within a large healthcare environment. This role involves standardizing inventory management processes across multiple hospital sites. The ideal candidate will operate in an agile project environment, work independently in fast-changing situations, and partner directly with market-level supply chain leaders and hospital site teams. This contract position requires residency in California with regular onsite presence at various locations in Southern California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and Riverside.
Key Responsibilities
- Support an agile program and project environment, adapting quickly to changing situations.
- Operate independently to standardize inventory rooms and optimize min/max inventory levels.
- Deliver hands-on training to site operations teams and transition ownership to on-site staff.
- Analyze usage trends and deductions to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner directly with market-level supply chain leaders, site directors, and multiple hospital site teams.
- Anticipate regular travel to various sites, with potential for up to 100 miles of driving per week.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: 3-5 years in a project management role with a required background in supply chain, including logistics, inventory management, and leading supply chain projects or teams.
Technical Skills:- Experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, OneLink, or SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for data analysis.
- Broad proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- Exposure to finance or accounting principles is strongly preferred.
