Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of a strategic, state-of-the-art trading platform initiative aimed at modernizing the client's Global Markets Financing and Futures business. The position is within Wealth Management Trading Technology, a team focused on building resilient, scalable, and redundant platforms to support growing business volumes. The ideal candidate is an experienced developer capable of delivering resilient technical solutions within a complex, high-performance trading environment.
Responsibilities: - Participate in and influence architecture and future design decisions, including adoption of modern development patterns
- Ensure software solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, and compliance requirements, following enterprise development standards and best practices
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews and design reviews to deliver high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code
- Design and develop RESTful services, backend components, and UI features; create unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of application interfaces
- Translate high-level business and architectural requirements into detailed, actionable technical tasks and implementation plans
- Produce and maintain high-level and component-level design documentation, ensuring usability, scalability, performance, and security standards are consistently met
- Work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams, partnering with Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery
Requirements: - Over 10 years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer specializing in J2EE technologies and frameworks, including Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), JDBC, JMS, and SOAP/RESTful APIs
- Proven full-stack development experience using Java, JavaScript, Spring MVC, Angular/React, Node.js, and relational databases
- Solid understanding of Message-Oriented Middleware (Kafka, JMS, MQ) and event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience implementing microservices architectures, with exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization/automation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong expertise in application logging, caching strategies, transaction management, multi-threading and concurrency, performance tuning, and monitoring
- Knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Desired skills: - Exposure to Global Markets / Investment Banking Domain with knowledge on Fixed Income trading flows
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
