Descriptions & Requirements

Job Description and Requirements

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems. The Simpleware team, now part of our portfolio through Ansys, develops software that converts 3D medical images-CT and MRI scans-into accurate 3D models for CAD, simulation, and 3D printing.
You Are

You turn imaging data into usable models. You've worked with CT scans, segmentation software, and customers who need geometry for surgical planning or simulation. You can speak to both clinicians and engineers, and you know how to make complex software accessible. You've used tools like Simpleware, Mimics, or 3D Slicer, probably written Python scripts to automate workflows, and you like being the person who makes technology work for people.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide technical support to customers using Simpleware software
  • Deliver software demos, training sessions, webinars, and workshops
  • Visit customers and represent the team at conferences and events
  • Contribute to product requirements, documentation, and technical content
  • Support consultancy projects involving AI/ML segmentation and automation
  • Build and maintain customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor
The Impact You Will Have
  • Enable clinicians and engineers to turn imaging data into models for surgical planning, device design, and simulation
  • Shape product direction by surfacing customer needs to product teams
  • Accelerate customer success through expert support and training
  • Expand software adoption through demos and technical thought leadership
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, medical imaging, or related field
  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Applications Engineer, technical support, field applications)
  • Experience with medical image processing software (Simpleware, Mimics, 3D Slicer, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of FEA/CFD software (Ansys preferred)
  • Python or scripting experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to have: CAD/3D modeling, ISO 13485 familiarity, 3D printing knowledge, clinical or medical device experience
Who You Are
  • You can guide customers through complex segmentation workflows and deliver live demos to different audiences
  • You troubleshoot by asking the right questions and write documentation people can follow
  • You're self-motivated and can manage multiple customer cases and travel without losing track
The Team You'll Be Part Of

You'll join the Simpleware US technical support and applications team, working with customers across clinical, academic, and engineering environments. You'll collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams globally, moving between support, training, and consultancy work.
