Summary

3+ years of professional experience as a Desktop Support Technician
Ability to provide hands on and remote troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and upgrade of IT hardware to include: laptops, desktops, printers, phones, cameras etc.
1.Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot issues surrounding Windows 11, MS Office O365, Mobile devices, VPN, and Networking/LAN/WAN connections.
2.Strong understanding of basic networking concepts including TCP/IP and managed switches
3.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
4.Working knowledge of Active Directory
5.Familiarity with VPN
6.Experience with remote access, imaging, etc.
Specialized Skills:
Candidates with the following proficiencies will be highly preferred
1.Customer friendly, excellent customer service and experience working in a large corporate environment
2.Ability to work independently
3.Strong presentation and written communication skills
4.Interpersonal skills, supported by analytical, and problem solving

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot and maintain all technology components in a facility - desktops/laptops, printers, MDF/IDF rooms and software applications
Schedules and performs PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs
Troubleshoots and acts as second level support for the enterprise printing environment which is crucial to our operations
Provide second level support for all end-user problems and act as an escalate point to the team as necessary
Act as point of contact for vendor and IT installations at the site
Assist in instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of systems/equipment
Resolves hardware and software customer issues on company devices
Document the operation and maintenance of systems and equipment
Participate in technical business project plans
Participate in recommending standards for PC hardware and peripheral equipment
Defines how IT procedures could provide efficiencies for the business
Follows Site Support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Escalates technical issues to senior members of the team

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
