In person in Wilmington DE Senior-level .NET Production Support / SRE-type Engineer supporting a high-volume, high-risk payments batch system (middleware, no UI). This is a mission-critical application with 24/7 operations, heavy SLA pressure, and strong need for incident management + communication skills.
Key Differentiator (VERY IMPORTANT): Do NOT send pure .NET developers. Manager wants someone with: - Production support / operational experience - Batch processing environments - Incident triage + recovery ownership - Strong communication (talking to leadership during outages) Must Have (Core Screening Focus) - 5+ years experience - C# / .NET (backend, NOT UI focused) - SQL Server (2019 preferred) - Production support / incident management - Batch processing systems (VERY IMPORTANT) - Windows Services / PowerShell scripting - High availability / SLA-driven environment experience - Strong communication (explaining issues to leadership)
Good to Have - AWS (basic understanding is fine) - Terraform (nice to have only) - Control-M (scheduler) - WCF / SOAP / XML services - Financial services / payments experience - Middleware / backend systems (no UI)
Role Reality (Pitch to Candidates) - 90 95% batch processing system - No UI work - High-risk payments system (high dollar, high visibility) - On-call rotation (once every ~7 8 weeks) - Occasional late night / weekend incidents - Long-term opportunity system being phased out but transition to new systems
