Mechanical Claims Adjuster

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join a customer-focused claims team responsible for reviewing and processing vehicle service contract claims. This individual will partner with customers, repair facilities, and inspection providers to evaluate repair requests, determine coverage eligibility, and facilitate claim resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
* Review claim documentation, repair diagnoses, and supporting information to validate claim accuracy and repair needs
* Evaluate repair estimates and costs to ensure alignment with industry standards and guidelines
* Determine contract coverage and eligibility based on service agreement terms and conditions
* Communicate with customers, dealerships, repair shops, inspectors, and internal stakeholders throughout the claims process
* Investigate claim details and gather necessary information to support claim decisions
* Process claim settlements accurately and fairly while maintaining a high level of customer service
* Ensure claims are handled in accordance with established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
* Collaborate with team members and contribute to departmental goals and operational success

REQUIREMENTS:
* Previous experience leading, coaching, or supervising a team in a service-driven environment
* Background in claims administration, claims processing, warranty services, or a related field
* Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to support team performance and operational goals
* Bilingual communication skills, particularly Spanish, are a plus
* Automotive certifications or technical training are preferred
* Experience diagnosing vehicle issues and/or working in automotive repair environments
* Familiarity with industry-standard labor guides, repair estimates, and parts pricing resources
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and other business software systems
* Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to analyze documentation, interpret technical information, and make sound business decisions
* Proven problem-solving abilities with the capacity to evaluate situations, identify solutions, and adapt to changing priorities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
