A Project Manager in a Program Management Office function plays an important role in delivering business value by helping a Program Manager keep a program on track through active monitoring of all program resources as well as program-level finances, and risks. This role also requires the development, maintenance, and support of an infrastructure that aids in effective and timely communications across the program.

responsibilities:
The contractor in this role is accountable for program-level staffing and resource management. This includes working with Program PMs to gather resource forecasts and partnering with internal staffing functions (ERO and Platform RMs) or external staffing functions (IT Sourcing) to secure and onboarding staff. You will also work with the Program Manager and Program PMs to adjust and optimize ongoing resource utilization as well and assess and recommend ways to mitigate staffing risks.
The contractor in this role is accountable to work with Program Leadership and Financial Control to forecast, monitor and report on all program-level financials including hardware, software, capital labor, internal labor, incidental expenditures, and potential credits/tax credits. You will help lead financial impact assessments and reforecasts when changes to program scope, timeline or labor estimates occur.
The contractor in this role is expected to work with Program Managers and Sponsors to ensure a structure is in place for effective governance and communications across the program and to Program Stakeholders. This needs to cover program processes and responsibilities, overall program health and status, risks, change requests, OCM, and vendor management. Effective use of tools such as SharePoint, Teams channels, AzDO boards, and managed e-mail (Outlook) distribution is expected.
qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in leading or facilitating projects in an application development, infrastructure, process, or similar areas is required.
- {OR} Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Technical discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Project Management) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in leadership or in leading or facilitating projects in an application development, infrastructure, process, or similar areas.
