senior-level engineering position focused on designing, developing, and supporting backend API services while leveraging strong knowledge of
network load-balancing technologies.
The engineer will develop backend services using
Python (FastAPI/Django), build automation using
Ansible, integrate and maintain APIs, and collaborate with software engineering partners on complex initiatives.
The role requires sophisticated problem-solving skills, understanding of distributed systems, and ability to contribute to large-scale engineering efforts requiring cross-team alignment, compliance adherence, and strategic technical consultation.
This is
not a DevOps role, but may interact with infrastructure teams as needed to support load balancing and API solutioning.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Design, build, and maintain backend REST APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Django.
- Support and engineer solutions involving network load-balancers across enterprise environments.
- Develop Ansible automation for configuration, deployment, and integration workflows.
- Create, maintain, and deploy API endpoints; integrate with Apigee or similar API gateways.
- Contribute to large-scale planning and analysis for critical software engineering initiatives.
- Review and analyze moderately complex multi-factor engineering obstacles; propose solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, networking, and operational teams.
- Participate in peer reviews for code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Ensure solutions adhere to policies, compliance requirements, and engineering governance.
- Build Python automation scripts for recurring operational tasks.
- Support Kubernetes or OpenShift-based deployments if applicable to the team.
- Document engineering solutions, API contracts, automation processes, and system behavior.
