Systems Analyst 3 - Cerner Millennium CCL & Data Transformation Lead (REMOTE)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 with strong expertise in Cerner Millennium, Cerner Command Language (CCL), healthcare data migration, and enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will support Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization initiatives by translating clinical and operational requirements into technical solutions, data extracts, and analytics deliverables.

This role requires extensive experience with healthcare workflows, Cerner Millennium architecture, Oracle databases, ETL processes, and large-scale EHR transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care environments.
• Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications for reporting, analytics, and data extraction solutions.
• Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments.
• Perform complex data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and transformation activities from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas.
• Support enterprise-wide EHR migration, modernization, and legacy system retirement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows, structured data feeds, and flat-file extraction processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CCL performance issues, integration problems, and downstream reporting challenges.
• Collaborate with clinical stakeholders, informatics teams, and technical delivery groups to ensure accurate implementation of clinical requirements.
• Communicate technical limitations, dependencies, and data constraints effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Execute and tune CCL scripts, manage batch jobs, and support production and non-production environments.

Required Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in healthcare IT, systems analysis, or enterprise application development.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
• Extensive experience supporting large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, or optimization initiatives.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Cerner Command Language (CCL).
• Strong knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases.
• Experience with SQL, Linux, enterprise data extraction, and migration methodologies.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting ETL processes.
• Familiarity with healthcare integrations and reporting environments.
• Experience with REST/SOA development and distributed systems.
• Proven experience writing, executing, and tuning CCL scripts in production environments.
• Experience with data extraction, system integration, and application development.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI.
• Experience supporting cloud-based platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments in large healthcare organizations.
• Prior experience serving as a senior Cerner consultant or technical lead.
• Experience with healthcare data modernization and analytics initiatives.
