Principal AI/ML Engineer (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer for a remote role.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AI/Machine Learning Principal to join a growing digital innovation team focused on building client-facing applications and technology-driven solutions. This role will play a key part in designing, developing, and scaling AI-powered capabilities embedded within products, workflows, and enterprise applications.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a purely strategic or governance-focused position. The ideal candidate will actively build and deploy AI solutions, working across engineering, data, and business teams to translate real-world needs into practical, production-ready systems.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing machine learning models, integrating AI into applications, and driving end-to-end solution delivery from concept through deployment. You will also help shape how AI is applied within products, contributing to a practical and value-driven approach to AI within the organization.

This is a high-impact opportunity to influence the direction of a newly forming team and bring AI initiatives to life within real-world products and client solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML, or advanced analytics
* Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
* Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and model design
* Hands-on experience developing and integrating AI capabilities into applications or products
* Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions
* Experience delivering end-to-end solutions, from concept through implementation
* Able to work EST/CST

Preferred:
* Experience building AI-enabled or client-facing digital products
* Background working in fast-paced or build-stage environments
* Experience collaborating across technical and business stakeholders
* Familiarity with data science tools and ecosystems (e.g., Python, R, visualization tools)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
