A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months (with high possibilities of extension)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote)

As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will:

Description:
  • We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Developer with strong experience in global banking data to design, develop, and optimize end-to-end analytical data objects on the Oracle database platform. This role is responsible for building analytics-ready structures starting from staging / ingestion layers through cleansed, conformed models, culminating in high-performing analytical views and reporting objects on the database side.
  • The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data architecture and modeling, can rapidly interpret complex schemas, restructure, and redesign database objects when necessary, and proactively improves data quality, consistency, and lineage to enable trusted reporting. These outputs will power web dashboards, enterprise reporting, and AI/ML-enabled tools, making reliability, performance, and governance critical.

Primary Skill: Oracle SQL / PLSQL
Secondary Skill: Data modelling and architecture
Tertiary Skill: ETL/Database testing

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
  • Experience in Treasury, Payments, Risk, Finance, Markets, Client, or Regulatory banking domains.
  • Oracle advanced features: partitioning, parallel query, materialized view refresh strategies, advanced indexing.
  • Familiarity with enterprise governance concepts: data lineage, metadata management, reference data, master data.
  • Experience supporting downstream consumers such as:
  • BI/Web dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/custom UI)
  • AI/ML pipelines (feature generation, curated datasets, prompt-ready structured outputs)
  • Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts
  • Experience working in Agile delivery with Jira/Confluence.

Core Competencies / What Success Looks Like:
  • Builds trusted analytical objects end-to-end from raw/staged datasets through reporting-ready views.
  • Delivers high-quality data that reduces downstream defects and improves report credibility.
  • Produces fast, scalable database objects that meet dashboard SLAs and AI tool requirements.
  • Demonstrates strong ownership; identifies issues, proposes improvements, and drives them to closure.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an Agile development methodology; experience with RAG and LLM is plus but not must

The ideal candidate will have: < Oracle PLSQL, Unix, Data Modeling, ETL.>

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Developer / Data Developer.
  • Expert-level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (complex joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning).
  • Strong experience building analytics/reporting layers (views, materialized views, aggregates, reporting schemas).
  • Proven ability to work with large-scale enterprise data (preferably financial services / global banking).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database design concepts (dimensional modeling, relational modeling, data vault concepts are a plus).
  • Experience improving data quality and implementing repeatable validation frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret complex schemas quickly and propose restructure / redesign approaches.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across data pipelines and database objects; ability to perform root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills: can explain technical designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay Range*: $65 - $65 per hour
