Our organization is seeking an experienced Network / System Engineer to support Real Time Communications 2nd level Applications Automation Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining applications developed using Java and deployed on Linux systems. This role requires strong skills in Linux and SQL databases, as well as the ability to develop and troubleshoot automation scripts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot applications automation developed using JAVA and hosted on Linux-based servers.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
- Install and configure software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform application deployment and disaster recovery operations.
- Create and maintain system documentation.
- Monitor and analyze system logs using tools like Splunk.
- Work with component support teams to coordinate activities and remediate issues.
- Manage incident tickets within the organization's ticketing system.
- Escalate issues to appropriate teams and vendors as necessary.
- Perform daily health checks and other housekeeping functions.
- Serve in an on-call rotation, which includes 2nd shift on weekdays and 1st shift on weekends.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) or a similar field, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in application support is required.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in Java and SQL databases.
- Strong automation scripting skills with Python and PowerShell.
- Experience with incident management and end-user support services.
- Ability to view Splunk Dashboards and execute corrective actions.
- Familiarity with performance engineering analysis tools such as Dynatrace.
- Proficiency in common Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting.
