Summary
The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, accountability, and lifecycle of all hardware assets within the organization. This role supports day-to-day operations related to asset intake, tracking, auditing, inventory management, and end-of-life processes. The analyst will collaborate with IT, procurement, vendors, and operational teams to maintain reliable data and uphold compliance with internal hardware lifecycle policies.

Key Responsibilities
Asset Tracking & Lifecycle Management
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records of asset location, ownership, condition, and status.
  • Manage the receipt and documentation of new hardware assets using IT Asset Management (ITAM) software, capturing critical data such as serial numbers, models, purchase dates, and warranty details.
  • Oversee full hardware lifecycle activities including deployment, moves, upgrades, recovery, and disposal.

Inventory & Warehouse Operations
  • Track and manage hardware inventory levels, ensuring availability of required stock.
  • Monitor stock depletion and proactively alert team members when levels fall below predefined thresholds.
  • Support physical inventory audits and reconciliation efforts.

Policies, Reporting & Compliance
  • Maintain and support enforcement of hardware lifecycle policies and procedures.
  • Generate accurate, timely reports for all hardware assets using the organization's ITSM/ITAM system (ServiceNow experience preferred).
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve hardware asset compliance issues.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Interact tactfully and professionally with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Assist with research, market comparisons, and vendor evaluations related to hardware procurement and lifecycle processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of direct experience in Hardware Asset Management.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proven data analytics capabilities, with the ability to analyze and interpret asset data and trends.
  • Working knowledge of IT Asset Management & Discovery tools - ServiceNow strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated research skills for asset lifecycle and procurement inquiries.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and service partners.
  • Forklift Certification required or ability to obtain.
  • Asset Management-related certifications a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience optimizing ITAM workflows or contributing to process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT Service Management principles.
  • Knowledge of hardware procurement, budgeting, or financial asset tracking.

Working Conditions
  • May require standing, lifting, or warehouse interactions during asset receiving or inventory cycles.
  • Occasional travel between organizational sites may be required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
