Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Network & Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco Meraki technologies to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable enterprise networks. The role focuses on cloud-managed networking, security operations, and network optimization across distributed environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Meraki-based network infrastructure (MX, MS, MR series)
  • Configure and maintain:
    • Firewalls (Meraki MX)
    • Switching (Meraki MS)
    • Wireless networks (Meraki MR)
  • Implement network security policies, VPNs (site-to-site & client VPN), and segmentation
  • Monitor network performance using Meraki Dashboard and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Ensure network security compliance and best practices (Zero Trust, NAC, etc.)
  • Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Integrate Meraki with enterprise systems (AD, Azure AD, identity providers)
  • Work with ISPs and vendors for circuit provisioning and issue resolution
  • Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs
  • Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call rotations

Required Skills & Experience:

Core Networking

  • Strong understanding of:
    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP
    • Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP – good to have)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • LAN/WAN architectures
    • SD-WAN concepts

Cisco Meraki Expertise

  • Deep experience with:
    • Meraki MX (Security & SD-WAN)
    • Meraki MS (Switching)
    • Meraki MR (Wireless)
  • Proficiency in:
    • Meraki Dashboard configuration & monitoring
    • VPN setup (Auto VPN, Client VPN)

Security

  • Firewall configuration & management
  • IDS/IPS, content filtering, threat protection
  • Network segmentation & access control
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture

Tools & Technologies

  • Wireshark / packet analysis tools
  • Network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow)
  • Basic scripting (Python / Bash – good to have)

Experience:

  • 5–10 years in Network & Security Engineering
  • At least 3+ years hands-on with Cisco Meraki
  • Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Cisco Meraki certifications (CMNA / ECMS1 / ECMS2)
  • Cisco CCNA / CCNP
  • Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP – plus)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Clear communication with technical & business teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS / Azure VNet)
  • Knowledge of SASE / SSE architectures
  • Exposure to identity-based networking (Okta, Azure AD)
