Job Description
We are seeking a C#/.NET Developer to join our dynamic Market Risk Technology team within Global Markets. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C#, .NET, SQL, and distributed enterprise application development and a proven ability to deliver resilient services and solutions in an agile, high-pressure financial environment. This role requires working onsite three days per week and collaborating with a global team across Ireland, the UK, India, and the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and the .NET framework.
- Build and support RESTful services and integrations with SQL Server, Oracle, or similar databases.
- Apply software design patterns and object-oriented principles to implement scalable solutions.
- Contribute to risk technology initiatives within investment banking.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and support CI/CD and automated testing practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and deliver fixes in a time-sensitive environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on object-oriented programming with C# and the .NET framework.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, OO design principles, and coding best practices.
- Experience building and supporting .NET applications, RESTful services, and SQL Server/Oracle.
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment within a financial institution.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with enterprise databases.
- Team collaboration and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to initiate and complete projects.
- Experience level: 7+ years in relevant roles.
Preferred Skills:
- Python experience or a stated interest in learning Python.
- Investment banking domain exposure, especially risk or product knowledge.
- Agile/Scrum experience with CI/CD and automated testing practices.
Additional Details:
- Start: ASAP. Onsite requirement: 3 days per week.
- Interview process: First round via Microsoft Teams with 2-3 interviewers.
