Ansible Automation Engineer

No C2C. W2 ONLY. MUST WORK ONSITE 3 DAYS A WEEK IN CHANDLER, AZ.
Position Summary

• This role is part of a large-scale, enterprise automation initiative to build, governance, and modernization of automation platforms across the enterprise organization.
  • BladeLogic to Ansible Automation Platform Migration aligned to the enterprise automation transformation
• This role will be part of a dynamic engineering team responsible for building, enhancing, and governing the Ansible Automation Platform and related automation and orchestration technologies.
• Consultants will serve as seasoned, hands-on technical contributors responsible for complex engineering and analytical tasks. The role focuses on taking defined requirements and converting them into practical, scalable automation and process solutions rather than full-stack software development.

Top Skills

• Ansible Automation Platform - The consultant will design, build, and govern reusable Ansible automation content and platform capabilities that support enterprise process controls and the BladeLogic-to-Ansible migration.
• Python Scripting - The consultant will use Python to supplement Ansible automation, implement logic not handled natively by playbooks, and translate operational requirements into executable engineering solutions.
• YAML / Automation Content Engineering - The consultant will author and maintain structured YAML-based playbooks, roles, inventories, and configurations that enable scalable, repeatable, and governed enterprise automation.
• Systems Engineering / Generalist Skillset - The consultant will analyze complex infrastructure, processes, and tool integrations to design automation solutions that align with enterprise standards, controls, and operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Unix/Linux system administration and scripting experience (5+ years)
  • Python
  • YAML
  • Shell scripting
  • XML (preferred)
• Ansible Automation Platform experience (5+ years)
  • Playbook and role development
  • Content design and reuse
  • Platform configuration and governance
• TrueSight Server Orchestrator experience (5+ years)
• Proven ability to take requirements and engineer practical automation and process solutions

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting or migrating enterprise automation platforms, including BladeLogic to Ansible transitions
• Familiarity with TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic) for current-state engineering support and migration planning
• Understanding of enterprise-scale, multi-tenant automation environments
• Knowledge of OpenShift, including:
  • Pod layouts and architecture
  • Namespace allocation
  • Platform security considerations
  • Ongoing environment maintenance

This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $73.00/hr.
