Job Title: Sr Java Developer (IES Experience) Location: Mechanicsburg, PA (Onsite) Employment Type: W2 Only
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on development expertise and experience in Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, writing complex SQL queries, and performing root cause analysis to support critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web applications.
Perform hands-on coding using Java/J2EE technologies.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for DB2 and Oracle databases.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot application issues.
Develop and support batch jobs and web services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Follow best practices in object-oriented design and application architecture.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in Java 6.0 and J2EE technologies
Strong experience with JSP, Custom Tag Libraries, JavaScript, Session EJB, JDBC
Experience with Java IDEs such as IBM RAD 7.5 or above
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and design patterns (Singleton, Factory, DAO)
Good understanding of MVC architecture
Experience in Batch processing and Web Services development
Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 8.0
Experience working in Linux environments (SuSE Linux preferred, VMware is a plus)
Strong SQL skills with DB2 and Oracle
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Additional Information:
Onsite role in Mechanicsburg, PA
