Senior Network Engineer

JOB SUMMARY This role demands a highly skilled and experienced network engineer with a strong background in LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and feature testing/certification. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), IPV6, and various networking technologies. The role requires the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and contribute to the transition of projects from initial PoC to a fully operational production environment. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills are essential for success. This position is for local candidates only. Key Responsibilities Design, engineer, and test/certify LAN/WAN network features. Build lab designs and certify hardware and software products; perform PoCs. Troubleshoot and debug network issues. Collaborate and coordinate with Network and Security teams and vendors. Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks. Create test cases, configuration templates, and operational manuals. Facilitate the transition from PoC to certification to pilot to production environments. Prepare test plans and updates for stakeholders. Liaise with Cisco and Arista. Perform network traffic analysis and utilize tools like pcaps and Wireshark. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience with LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and feature testing/certification. 4+ years of experience with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (Azure, AWS). 3+ years of IPV6 Networking and validation experience. Strong knowledge of Networking technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS VPNs, VxLAN, Multicast. Well versed in DMVPN, IPSEC, and Encryption Standards, Network Security. Experience on Cisco IOS-XE, Nexus Devices. Knowledge of Cloud Networking and Security best practices (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Must have understanding: AWS constructs like VPC IPV6 addressing, Internet Gateway, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53; Azure: VNet IPv6, Azure Load balancer, IPV6 Express Route, NSGs, Azure Network Watcher; Google Cloud Platform: Cloud Routers, Google Access for IPv6, Cloud NAT64, Interconnect, VPC Flow Logs Experience with Routing Protocols OSPFv3, BGPv6. Design and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista Network platforms and protocols. IP Routing Platforms: ISR, ASR1K, ASR9K, Catalyst 9K, Catalyst8Kv, Nexus9K. Proficient in traffic generation tools like Ixia/Spirent, iPerf3, Wireshark. Strong understanding of IPV6 fundamentals, addressing, NDP, ICMPv6, DHCPv6, SLAAC, IPV6 + IPV4 implementation. Excellent Knowledge of Network protocols BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree protocol, Multicast Cabling and optics 10/25G/40G/50G/100G. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Ability to deal with multiple projects and prioritize the tasks. Work under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Python Network programming knowledge. Knowledge in Agile process. Experience in using test tools like Ixia/Spirent/ iperf, Latency generators. Overlay technologies like IPSEC, DMVPN, VXLAN, MACSEC and SDWAN/SDA. Ansible knowledge. Test automation within CI/CD infrastructure, ROBOT framework. Experience with Kubernetes and IPV6 enabled CNI plugins like Calico and Cilium. Certifications CCIE/CCNP certified or equivalent Level of experience. AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer, or Google Cloud Platform cloud Network Engineer certifications are desired.
