As the Data Operations Engineer Associate, you will:
- Build, maintain, and support Azure-based data environments for client engagements, including resource groups, SQL databases, Azure Data Factory, SFTP sites, and related infrastructure.
- Support access, connectivity, and day-to-day operations for the legacy Eclipse Azure tenant hosting active client data and pipelines.
- Enable secure client data intake via SFTP by provisioning access, supporting file transfers, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Design, configure, and maintain automated Azure Data Factory ingestion workflows, enabling scheduled, hands-off data flows from SFTP to SQL.
- Process and manage client data across 25+ concurrent engagements, supporting multiple data formats including flat files, JSON, and healthcare transaction files (837/835).
- Review incoming client data and develop mapping logic and documentation to support SQL-based import and transformation processes.
- Perform data quality assurance to validate structure, completeness, and reasonableness prior to downstream analytics use.
- Prepare and load data used in Power BI dashboards and coordinate with the Power BI team on dataset refreshes and issue resolution.
- Work with healthcare data containing PHI, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards throughout the data lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal team members and consultants to resolve data issues, clarify processes, and prioritize requests across multiple clients and project phases.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent applicable programming experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with SQL and relational database development
- Experience supporting Azure-based data environments, including ETL and cloud data services
- Familiarity with data ingestion processes, SFTP workflows, and multiple data formats
- Strong attention to detail, data quality, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-client environment
- US Work Authorization required
The estimated base salary range for this job is $100,000 - $145,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $112,000 - $171,100. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
