Job Description – Senior Business Analyst

Location: Austin, TX Hybrid

Client: Texas Department of Public Safety.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Agile methodologies, business process analysis, and requirements documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for technology-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
Create and maintain business process documentation, workflows, and process maps.
Develop use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other project documentation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of business solutions.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend efficient business solutions.
Support testing activities including UAT coordination and validation of business requirements.
Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or technology-related environments.
Strong experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum project environments.
Knowledge of use case development, user stories, and process documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with process mapping and workflow documentation tools.
Familiarity with Agile project management practices and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
Experience supporting enterprise application or digital transformation projects.
