Job Details

We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee key accounting operations and partner closely with the CFO in leading the financial function. This individual will supervise a small accounting team while owning core accounting processes, financial reporting, and operational analysis.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting
* Supervise accounting personnel across AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting functions
* Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
* Analyze revenue, expenses, budgeting activity, and operational variances
* Support sales tax reporting and compliance initiatives
* Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
* Develop reporting and analytical tools to support operational decision-making
* Partner with leadership on process improvement and financial initiatives
* Support ERP systems and identify opportunities for workflow optimization

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 5-10+ years of accounting and/or accounting management experience
* Experience leading accounting teams
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* ERP experience required
* Experience with QuickBooks and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred
* Consumer products, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments preferred
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
