  • Develop and manage board-level hardware requirements and performance parameters.
  • Design embedded computer hardware with microcontroller/processor integration, including component selection for processing, memory, power, and interfaces.
  • Perform schematic capture and circuit analysis and simulation (power budget, thermal, derating, worst-case).
  • Work with ECAD on PCB layout constraints and review routing.
  • Plan and perform testing of boards and integrated assemblies, supporting verification and validation.
  • Coordinate with hardware, software, mechanical, and avionics teams on crew interface integration.
  • Prepare design documentation and present at design reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience designing embedded systems with microcontroller integration.
  • Experience with PCB design and routing.
  • Proficiency with electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, SPICE/PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Experience taking a board from concept through fabrication and bring-up.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or higher.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Spaceflight or aerospace avionics experience.
  • Experience with EVA or robotics (EVR) operations and hardware.
  • Display or human-machine interface hardware experience.
