Summary

What you will be doing
  • Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
  • Determine defects, trouble-shoot malfunctions, take immediate necessary corrective action if guest related/top priority or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record same on the departmental work order form.
  • Follow specific departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
  • Comply with the latest local, county, state and federal governmental codes, laws and requirements.
  • Coordinate with other department personnel such as electrician, carpenter, painter and night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work.

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time
  • Safely climb ladders and stairs
  • Lift approximetely fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to push aproximately one hundred (100) pounds
  • Work Environment can be extremely hot or cold at times

What we are looking for

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Engineer II Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of the hotel through preventative maintenance, repairs, and daily engineering operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and mechanical systems, while delivering exceptional service in a hospitality environment. Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests are essential for success in this role.

Required Skills:
  • Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction
  • Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required
  • Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
