Title: Salesforce QA Analyst
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Remote
We are looking for a Salesforce QA Analyst to join our Agile delivery team and help ensure the quality and reliability of our Salesforce-based CRM and The Hub, our client portal built on Salesforce Experience Cloud. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders throughout 10week Program Increment (PI) cycles to validate user stories, improve test coverage, and help the team sustainably increase its velocity beyond the current 25 of 50 planned story points.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Quality Ownership
Participate in PI Planning and subsequent sprint planning to estimate QA effort and define QA resource needs for each 10-week PI.
Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to refine user stories, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure testability.
Contribute to sprint ceremonies (standups, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives) to represent QA needs and risks.
Test Planning & Design
Translate business and technical requirements into detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for Salesforce CRM and Experience Cloud (The Hub).
Define and execute test strategies for integrations between Salesforce, The Hub, and other systems.
Identify and prioritize test scenarios based on risk, complexity, and story point load, helping the team manage capacity more effectively.
Test Execution & Defect Management
Execute functional, integration, regression, and endtoend testing for user stories within each sprint and PI.
Validate UX/UI flows, user journeys, and portal behavior in The Hub, ensuring a consistent and intuitive client experience.
Log, prioritize, and track defects using the team's Agile planning tools (e.g., Jira/Azure DevOps), and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
Retest fixes and maintain clear traceability from requirements through to test results.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Contribute to or support the creation and maintenance of automated test suites for Salesforce (e.g., via Selenium, Provar, or other tools used internally).
Recommend and implement improvements to QA processes, tooling, and standards to help increase throughput toward the team's full 50point capacity.
Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices by integrating testing into pipelines where possible.
Security, MFA, and Compliance
Test and validate multifactor authentication (MFA) flows and security-related user stories, including login, session management, and access control.
Verify role-based permissions, sharing rules, and data access in both CRM and Experience Cloud.
Support adherence to any relevant regulatory or compliance standards through appropriate test evidence.
Required Qualifications
3 years of hands-on QA experience, with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or similar).
Proven experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or SAFe), including participation in time-boxed sprints and PI planning.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies: test planning, functional/integration testing, regression testing, and defect management.
Experience testing Salesforce customizations: custom objects, fields, validation rules, workflows, Process Builder/Flows, Apex triggers/classes, and Lightning components.
Experience testing integrations between Salesforce and other systems (APIs, middleware, data syncs, etc.).
Familiarity with MFA and common Salesforce authentication/security concepts (profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing).
Ability to write clear, reproducible test cases and defect reports, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud (formerly Communities/Customer/Partner Portals), preferably testing client-facing portals similar to The Hub.
Exposure to UX/UI testing, including validating usability, layout, and responsive design within Salesforce Lightning and Experience Cloud.
Experience with test automation for Salesforce (e.g., Selenium/WebDriver, Provar, Cypress, TestComplete, or similar tools).
Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally) and their integration with QA workflows.
Salesforce certifications such as:
Salesforce Certified Administrator
Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant (plus)
Experience in a scaled Agile environment using 812 week PI cycles and working with capacity and story point planning.
