Role Overview
The AI Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth by positioning, selling, and enabling the adoption of AI-powered solutions across public and private sector clients. This role intersects sales, solution engineering, and AI innovation, translating complex AI capabilities into clear, outcome-driven value propositions. The specialist will partner with sales executives, AI solution architects, and delivery teams to support the full sales lifecycle and ensure that advanced AI capabilities are understood, trusted, and successfully adopted by end-users.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with account leaders and business development teams to identify, qualify, and pursue AI-focused opportunities.
- Own the AI solution narrative during client engagements, ensuring alignment between customer needs, solution capabilities, and business outcomes.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand client challenges, workflows, and transformation goals related to AI adoption.
- Translate technical AI concepts like Generative AI, LLMs, and cloud AI platforms into business-focused value propositions.
- Collaborate with AI, RPA, and application solution architects during presales activities, including solution design and feasibility discussions.
- Contribute to proposals, solution architectures, pricing strategies, and statements of work.
- Provide field feedback to product, innovation, and delivery teams to refine offerings and messaging.
- Build trusted relationships with client executives, technical leaders, and operational stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in solution sales, presales, sales engineering, or consulting with exposure to AI, data, or cloud technologies. Experience supporting enterprise or government clients through complex sales cycles is required.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI concepts (LLMs, intelligent automation, cloud AI platforms) and their real-world applications is necessary. Experience with AI/ML solutions, digital applications, and modern cloud platforms is required.
Abilities: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences. This role requires the ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in data, technology, or a STEM field.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect or an AI practitioner certification from AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Proficiency with business analysis and project management tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Asana).
- Experience with design tools such as Visio, Miro, Mural, or Figma.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $185,000 to $200,000 annually. The pay rate for the contract portion is expected to be between $85.00 and $100.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
