Job Description


We are seeking an Senior Enterprise BI / Microsoft Fabric Architect to lead the enterprise adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analytics, cloud data architecture, and Power BI development, and a proven ability to establish a Power BI Center of Excellence, standards, and governance for the enterprise.


Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Fabric for enterprise BI workloads.

  • Develop and mature the Power BI Center of Excellence, including standards, governance, and operating models.

  • Own Power BI Cloud architecture and administration, including capacity planning and security.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and DBAs to deliver scalable BI solutions.

  • Provide hands-on development with Power BI and support production troubleshooting.

  • Guide SSRS modernization and migration to Power BI and PBIRS where applicable.

  • Mentor BI engineers and influence technical direction across teams.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of data analytics and reporting experience.

  • 5+ years of cloud data architecture experience.

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Fabric and Azure experience.

  • Proven advanced skill with Power BI development and administration.

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and report lifecycle.

  • Proficiency with querying languages such as ANSI-SQL and T-SQL.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for production support.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with clear documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills with technical and business leaders.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated leadership in BI initiatives.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Agile development practices.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise Power BI Cloud implementations.

  • Hands-on experience with SSRS modernization and migration to Power BI or PBIRS.

  • Familiarity with Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric capacity planning.

  • Experience establishing COE standards, governance frameworks, and operating models.

  • Prior experience mentoring or leading BI engineers and developers.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise BI security and compliance requirements.

  • Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders and influencing technical direction.

  • Schedule: Required 3 days onsite in Charlotte. Sept start.

  • Interview process: 2 rounds, one virtual (Teams) and one in person. Glider: ID verification.

  • Submission notes: Include current and intended location on resume. Submit the correct rate for the location. Maximum submissions per supplier: 3.

  • Hours per day: 8. Labor type: Technical.
