Volt is immediately hiring for Sr FPGA Engineer - TUCSON, AZ

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and deliver production?quality FPGA solutions from proof?of?concept through full production release.
• Develop FPGA designs across major vendors and device families, including Xilinx, Altera (Intel), and Microsemi.
• Implement designs using VHDL for applications.
• Collaborate closely with circuit card designers, systems engineers, and software teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and model algorithms.
• Translate system?level requirements into detailed FPGA requirements and architectures.
• Perform coding, simulation, synthesis, and place?and?route activities.
• Verify FPGA designs using directed tests and constrained?random methodologies, including functional and code?coverage tracking.
• Support the full product lifecycle from requirements definition through integration, test, and production.
• Create and maintain complete design documentation, including requirements, verification plans, and user guides.
• Participate in internal and external technical reviews.
• Support customer interactions and program milestones as required.
• Execute projects to meet program cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

This is 12 months Full- time- contract with possible hire opportunity.

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in FPGA development and/or verification.
• Proficiency with VHDL design for reliability and maintainability.
• Experience working in a structured engineering development environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with FPGA architectures from multiple vendors.
• Knowledge of RF, EO, DSP, or embedded processing applications.
• Familiarity with defense or aerospace development lifecycles.
• Experience supporting technical design reviews and customer engagements.

Pay Range: $112 - $ 115 per hour on w2.
