Job description:

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Engineer to manage and streamline build, release, and deployment processes across multiple environments for CHUBB platform applications. The candidate will work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure reliable, repeatable, and high-quality releases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end release lifecycle from code integration to production deployment
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute application releases across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod)
  • Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure faster and reliable deployments
  • Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Product teams for release planning and scheduling
  • Support release packaging, versioning, and deployment automation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment failures and environment issues
  • Ensure compliance with change management and release governance processes
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and post-release retrospectives
  • Support production deployments and manage rollback strategies
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in release processes

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in Release Engineering / DevOps / Build Engineering
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions)
  • Hands-on experience with build & deployment automation
  • Good understanding of source control systems (Git)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for deployment and integration issues
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of release governance, version control, and change management processes

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in insurance / BFSI domain (CHUBB context preferred)
  • Familiarity with Java-based applications and APIs (REST-based systems)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of monitoring & logging tools
  • Exposure to security and compliance requirements for production releases

Soft Skills

  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple releases in parallel
  • Proactive communication and issue escalation mindset (important for client-facing roles
