Job Description: Xray Consultant (Test Management Migration)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Xray Consultant to lead test management tool migrations and implementations for enterprise clients. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and executing migrations of test assets from legacy test management tools (such as QMetry, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM/HP Quality Center) to Xray Enterprise Cloud, while preserving data integrity, hierarchy, and traceability.

This is a high-visibility, client-facing role requiring strong technical expertise in Atlassian Jira ecosystem, Xray test management, and large-scale data migration.

Test Management Tools	Working knowledge of one or more legacy tools — QMetry, Zephyr, TestRail, HP ALM/Quality Center, TestLink — including data structures, export capabilities, and API access
Data Migration	Proven experience in test asset migration — field mapping, data transformation, reconciliation, and validation at scale (10,000+ test cases)
Automation Awareness	Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Harness, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and test execution frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG) for design-level integration
Documentation	Strong technical documentation skills — design specs, mapping matrices, reconciliation reports, runbooks
Stakeholder Management	Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading client workshops and working with cross-functional teams (PM, QE, DevOps, Jira Admin)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience delivering test management tool migrations under milestone-based / fixed-capacity engagement models.
Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps and Xray plugin ecosystem.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin) and Xray''s BDD test capabilities.
Experience with reporting tools — Xray dashboards, EazyBI, Jira native reports.
Exposure to test automation frameworks and integration with Xray for automated test result reporting.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and own end-to-end delivery
Comfortable with client-facing communication and stakeholder management
Detail-oriented with focus on data integrity and accuracy
