A master's degree minimum or at least 10 years of experience with data design in a consulting or internal role, defining data strategy and architectures while developing and mentoring staff at all levels to build and deliver high quality and highly innovative simulation services.
At least 5 years of experience related to DoD major systems or programs.
At least 3 years in a system architecture role.
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT systems.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g.: Python, Java, C#).
As a lead architect, you will serve as the bridge between high-level data strategy and technical execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that our simulation services and infrastructure are not only innovative but also highly secure and resilient. This role is perfect for a senior professional who excels at mentoring technical teams while managing the complexities of DoD major systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Oversight: Lead the design and implementation of complex, large-scale IT systems supporting the Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline and core data center infrastructure.
- Data Strategy & Design: Define and execute comprehensive data strategies to build and deliver high-quality, innovative simulation services.
- Technical Leadership: Develop and mentor technical staff at all levels, fostering a culture of high performance and technical excellence.
- DevSecOps Integration: Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies to streamline infrastructure deployment and enhance system reliability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a primary technical consultant to organization leadership, ensuring all technology solutions align with mission-critical objectives.
- Full-Stack Proficiency: Utilize expertise in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C#) to resolve architectural bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
- Security & Reliability: Maintain a deep understanding of database management, networking, and security principles to ensure infrastructure integrity.
Required Skills & Education
- Education & Experience: * Master's Degree (minimum) OR 10+ years of expert-level experience in data design, architecture, and consulting.
- 5+ years of direct experience supporting DoD major systems or programs.
- 3+ years in a dedicated System Architecture role.
- Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Certifications (IAT Level II): * Must hold one of the following: Security+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
- Functional Area Certification is required prior to start date.
- Technical Core:
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex, multi-tiered IT systems.
- Proficiency in Agile/DevOps frameworks and modern programming languages.
- Strong command of enterprise-level networking and security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat Certifications: RHCSA (Certified System Administrator) or RHCDS (Certified Data Center Specialist).
- Cloud & Frameworks: Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or TOGAF.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and solve high-stakes technical challenges through exceptional communication.
