Role Overview
We are seeking an Information System Project Architect to support a DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center. The selected candidate will lead the design and development of technology-based solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position is 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the practice of designing, describing, documenting, and managing the engineering of technology to solve specific business problems.
- Develop the overall technical strategy for solving complex challenges, analyzing the customer's existing tech environment and mission objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed and their requirements are met.
- Select the appropriate technology stack for projects while accounting for constraints such as scope, cost, and time.
- Develop detailed project plans and manage the project's budget, schedule, and resources.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the project.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and ensure developed solutions comply with non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, and performance.
- Analyze customer needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of a product design, and document best practices.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:- 10+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5 years with a master's degree, in data design, defining IT strategy and architecture.
- 5+ years of experience related to DoD major systems or programs.
Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI Security Clearance as a condition or continuation of employment.
Certifications:- Must hold an IAT Level II certification, such as CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.
- A functional area certification is required prior to the start date.
Technical Skills:- Proficient in system and software architecture, including high-level and low-level design and distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with various programming languages, frameworks, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of API design, DevOps principles, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, network protocols, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux and Red Hat.
- RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification.
- RHCDS (Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist) certification.
Project Management Skills
- Ability to develop comprehensive project plans and manage resources.
- Skills in creating and managing budgets and identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Familiarity with both traditional (e.g., Waterfall) and agile (e.g., Scrum, XP) project management methodologies.
Soft Skills
- Communication skills to interact with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to understand business needs and solve technical challenges.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with diverse project teams.
- An understanding of business goals and the ability to align technical solutions with those objectives.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $75.00/hr to $82.00/hr on contract. The anticipated conversion salary is $160,000 to $170,000 annually. A comprehensive benefits package is available.
