We are seeking a self-starter to drive Risk Management activities in support of a technology division. The ideal candidate is motivated, thrives in a fast-paced culture, and can balance priorities to ensure flawless execution. This role involves supporting a risk portfolio by partnering with technology teams to foster a culture of risk identification, escalation, and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and report data to support informed decision-making and problem-solving.
- Apply a mixture of risk and technology expertise to support impact assessments and identify root causes for technology control activities.
- Drive risk reduction for the designated portfolio.
- Monitor the health of issues through their lifecycle, including action plan development and validation.
- Engage with peers, senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration across organizations to identify opportunities for control improvement and risk reduction.
- Support functions and routines to maintain a robust risk culture, including Key Risk Reviews, Issue Management, and Technology Risk Assessments.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of internal control, regulatory, audit, risk, compliance, or relevant work experience within a financial services or technology organization.
Skills:- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a global and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coordinate and drive the execution of priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with minimal management oversight.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to review documentation for accuracy.
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 products, including Teams.
- Technology domain knowledge.
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree.
- CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM certification or similar.
- Prior operational risk or compliance experience in the technology sector.
- Detailed, bank-specific risk management and governance experience.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical business owners.
